బిల్వ వృక్షం ఎక్కడ పుట్టింది ? 

శ్రీమహావిష్ణువు తన సతితో కలిసి శివుని గూర్చి తపస్సు చేస్తుండగా లక్ష్మీదేవి కుడిచేతి నుంచి బిల్వవృక్షం జన్మించింది . మహాశివుడు ప్రత్యక్షమై జగద్రక్షణ భారాన్ని శ్రీమహావిష్ణువుపై ఉంచాడు . శ్రీవృక్షమనే పేరుతో కూడా పిలిచే ఈ బిల్వ వృక్షంను దేవతలు స్వర్గంలోనూ , మందర పర్వతం పైనా , వైకుంఠంలోనూ నాటారు . శివుని కిష్టమైన ఈ బిల్వ వృక్ష ఆకులతో ఏ రోజైనా పూజ చేయవచ్చు . సోమవారం కోస్తే సోమవారం నాడే పూజకి వినియో గించాలి . ఎండినా , కోసి రెండు మూడు రోజులైనా శివ పూజకు వాడకూడదు . బిల్వ వృక్షానికి ప్రదక్షిణలు చేస్తే సమస్త దోషాలు పోతాయి . సంతానం లేని వారికి సంతానం కలుగుతుంది . బిల్వ వృక్ష పత్రం లక్ష బంగారు పువ్వులతో సమానము .

Where is the Bilwa tree born?

Bilvavriksham was born from the right hand of Lakshmidevi while Lord Mahavishnu was meditating on Lord Shiva with his sati. Mahasiva appeared and placed the burden of Jagadrakshana on Sri Mahavishnu. Also known as Srivrikshamane, this Bilva tree is planted by the gods in heaven, on Mandara mountain and in Vaikuntham. This Bilwa tree, which is dear to Lord Shiva, can be worshiped on any day.Vinio should be worshiped on Monday for Monday. Endina and Kosi should not be used for Shiva worship for two or three days.
